Applying and wearing FlutterEyes should be a safe and enjoyable experience. However there are some safety considerations that every potential user should evaluate prior to using FlutterEyes.

FlutterEyes should not be used by children or applied to them. The tools and products in the FlutterEyes kit should be kept out of the reach of children.

Anyone with unsteady hands should not use this product.

Users should be comfortable working with cosmetic tools near the eyes and should never poke any object into the eyeball. Users should be able to see well enough to work near the eyes while applying eyelash clusters with tweezers.

FlutterEyes is the result of two years of testing of many professional and non-professional lash products in a search for the easiest to use semi-permanent glue for the do-it-yourselfer. FlutterEyes-recommended glue creates a fast and secure bond. Fumes from the glue should not be harmful to most users and can be kept away from the eyes with a tool provided in the kit. Eyelash glue should be kept out of the eyes and its use discontinued should any lasting irritation result.

The adhesive included in the FlutterEyes kit is similar to Superglue and Crazy Glue. Cyanoacrylate adhesive was originally developed for medical use to close wounds in surgery. Similar types of glues tend to be well tolerated by most people and are commonly used in the application of professional eyelash extensions. In a few people, these glues can cause an allergic reaction including skin irritation, redness, severe itching and breathing difficulties. If any allergic reaction to any of the products included in the FlutterEyes kit is experienced, the cluster lashes should be removed immediately and the eyes flushed with water for 15 minutes. Medical care should be sought if symptoms persist.

Some individuals may experience eyelash loss while wearing any kind of false eyelash product that is glued to the lashes or eyelid. It is advised to watch for signs of permanent eyelash loss and discontinue use if there is any concern that this is occurring.
